Pack of 6 Christmas cards featuring Mince Pie Man – Gracie Dahl’s winning design for UAL in our annual Tate Christmas card commission and competition, held in collaboration with PCA and UAL colleges.
Gracie’s design is a playful take on the tasty excesses of Christmas time, made using gouache paints and collage techniques, combined digitally with multiplied layers. Sporting a cracker paper crown, our festive hero is scoffing mince pies ‘with such commitment his fair isle jumper is fit to burst!’.
The cards read ‘Season’s Greetings’ inside. Each card measures 17.2 x 12 cm, and the 6 pack is packaged in an FSC certified paper box.
Gracie Dahl is an illustrator from South London and a recent graduate from Camberwell College of Arts, UAL, who likes making things, a lot. Her work uses bright colour and elements of outline, informed by her love of mid-century illustration, and explores the curious world of being a human – how we interact, move, and express ourselves.
