“The work captures China’s underground queer community, whose exaggerated and unconventional lifestyles exist on the fringes of mainstream society. Queer friends from Generation Z shine with pride and brilliance, fuelled by the gaze of others to satisfy their desires. Yet, their images remain strikingly multidimensional and complex.”
