Description
‘Baizhou.exe Brother?’ A3 Print by Xinyan Qian. Xinyan Qian is a final year student at Central Saint Martins, studying MA Art & Science.
Artist description of work: ‘“Baizhou, Brother?” was created by merging AI-generated images—trained on photos of my parents and myself—into a hand-modeled human form.It is a fragmented and hollow figure, textured yet empty within. It stands between the real and the virtual, carrying traces of both. Through shaping this imagined brother, I explore how modern technology becomes a vessel for emotions — a way to extend and question the boundaries of intimacy and kinship. In the end, he is less a person than a mirror, reflecting my own feelings and thoughts.’
- All prints are priced at £50 and are limited edition works from students across Central Saint Martins Art Programme, including MA Fine Art, MA Fine Art Digital, MA Art & Science, and MA Contemporary Photography.
- 100% of proceeds directly support the artists’ end-of-year group projects.
