‘Whisper of Orchids #02’ A3 Print by Ziyue She. Ziyue She is a final year student at Central Saint Martins, studying MA Contemporary Photography; Practices and Philosophies.

Artist description of work: ‘This is a visual narrative about how the female body is gazed upon, tamed, and how it quietly resists. Whispers of the Orchid not only records physiological transformation but also exposes how society, in praising “blossoming,” invisibly prunes the branches. Those skin curves softened by gentle light are both armor and cage. The series invites viewers to confront the romanticised pain of growing up. Here, the orchid is no longer a fragile metaphor, but a political presence: forced to bloom within a greenhouse, it never forgets its wild possibility.’
