‘Small Gift (Poinsettia)’ A3 Print by Evan Kerr. Evan Kerr is a final year student at Central Saint Martins, studying MA Fine Art.

Artist description of work: ‘This piece is an attempt to work out the formulation of the crosshatch paintings and prints of Jasper Johns. The trial and error of the process is observable in the work, as the pattern materialises from the inside out. This is not an attempt to replicate Johns’ work, but a process of investigation, infusing the form with a unique sensibility. A small photograph of the pop/rock group Fine Young Cannibals is individually affixed to the centre of each print. ‘
