Learn all about our notebook competition with the Arts Student Union.
Our latest addition of carefully crafted products and makers, hand-picked by our selection panel from various disciplines and backgrounds.
We aren’t just a shop. All of the proceeds from our retail operations are reinvested back into supporting students and graduates with their businesses through our enterprise learning offer. Our makers all began their journeys as UAL students.
Makers
Founded in 2020 by two Central Saint Martin knitwear graduates, Louise Watteau-Stone and Ben Sumpter, Bouclé is a true two-person studio practice. From start to finish, every part of the process is handled by Louise and Ben; from scent development and product design to hand-pouring, packaging and customer communication.
"We work slowly and intentionally, favouring natural materials, pure essential oils and small production runs over mass manufacture. Our focus on thoughtful sourcing, therapeutic making and carefully balanced scent blends means each product carries a sense of care, craft and authenticity that reflects how and why it was made."
Guided by sustainability and mindful processes, Bouclé works exclusively with pure essential oils, renewable ingredients and considered packaging. Thoughtfully hand-crafted in small batches in their studio in Kemptown, Brighton, every product is designed to bring a sense of calm, ritual and everyday wellbeing into the home.
