What attracted you to your craft?
I am passionate about colour and the endless possibilities that come with combining different materials and textures. I believe that every design should have a purpose and tell a story. I strive to create pieces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but meaningful. This what attracted me to the craft. It allows me to bring my ideas to life and make a tangible impact on the world around me.
What does your typical day look like?
My days in the studio are filled with creating pieces for orders, designing new collections, and managing administrative tasks. Although it can be intense, I find it incredibly rewarding because every day is unique and I can work on things I am passionate about.
Does your product have an environmental focus/does it support the circular economy?
At FOFA Studio, sustainability is at the forefront of our values. We carefully handcraft our products using natural and eco-friendly materials. We strive to minimise waste at every step of the production process. For our Colourful Journey collection, the yarn winding artwork was created using recycled yarns and threads.
What is the USP (unique selling point) for your products?
The fiber artworks are meticulously crafted by hand, showcasing exquisite attention to detail. Each piece is unique, the composition is thoughtfully arranged, featuring harmonious colour palettes and subtle variations in yarn texture. This collection of original and delicate artworks will bring a touch of new creativity to your home.
Where do you find inspiration for your designs?
I draw inspiration from a wide range of sources, with a particular focus on the natural world’s beauty and its rich colours and textures, as well as the cultural and historical influences. Additionally, I place a strong emphasis on embracing traditional craft techniques.
Please can you provide a little more info on how your interest in design started and developed?
My inspiration comes from nature and the details of daily life. I constantly observe my surroundings and draw inspiration from my memories, as well as discovering beauty in unexpected places. I capture these images and fleeting memories through color and texture, transforming them into simple colour blocks and lines or incorporating materials of different textures to compose a story I want to share.

Do you have any favourite items in the collection?
It’s difficult to choose a favourite, because each piece is unique and represents a different expression which connects to a special moment of my memory.
How would you summarise your collection in a few words?
Unique, Colourful, Delicate
Does your work have a social impact?
Although I have not yet been able to fully implement this vision, I hope to develop collections that incorporate traditional local handicraft techniques into the design as my studio grows. By giving traditional crafts a modern approach and promoting them, I aim to contribute to the preservation of these cultural treasures and support the communities where these techniques originate.
What are your hopes for the future? Where would you like to take your collection?
I hope to develop a wider range of products and expand my business while maintaining my commitment to sustainability. I would also love to collaborate with other like-minded designers and explore new materials and techniques to enrich my collection.
