Description
The cotton tea towel “Nana’s Kitchen” by Malaya Rhiann Edwards-Roberts was inspired by Malaya’s grandmother, Gladys. One of the many ways she shared love was through food. Designer Malaya loved watching her grandmother prepare traditional Jamaican dishes. Food
was home and the love that came with it made every bite even more delicious.
- The tea towel belongs to collection of home textiles designed by University of Arts London students, called HOME.
- HOME was a live design brief run in collaboration with UAL’s Creative Shift and not just a shop. The students were commissioned to design a range of homeware inspired by the theme ‘home’ and what emotions this elicits for them.
