‘Obedecer’ A3 Print by Khadijat . Khadijat is a final year student at Central Saint Martins, studying MA Art & Science.

Artist description of work: ‘At the steps of “Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro,” Brazil I was surrounded by hundreds of people stepping over each other to get the perfect selfie. Very quickly the atmosphere of the place no longer felt like the site of religious adoration, but more attune to the human nature of our social climate. I edited this image I captured to encapsulate the shift and atmosphere I experienced while being pushed and stepped on in others pursuit for the perfect picture with one of the seven wonders of the world.’
