‘Ossi’ by Emma Brunelli (MA in Art & Science)

Artist Description:

“A hip, perhaps a shoulder blade? A sheep, perhaps a goat or even a cat? What is left? How much is left? Scattered in the whole, the boundaries shatter. The silkscreen print depicts a bone, collected, photographed, and then digitally reassembled. In the background, an embossing of its original shape, like a shadow, a past memory. And just as the animal’s particles are now dispersed into the whole, its representation transforms into new forms.”
