‘Phreaked’ A3 Print by Tara Jordan. Tara Jordan is a final year student at Central Saint Martins, studying MA Fine Art.

Artist description of work: ”Phreaked’ is a watercolour portrait of Dr. House, M.D., digitally edited and emulating meme formatting. The reiterative nature of online argot results in degenerations, especially in covert communities hiding from hegemonic ideals. Marginalisation further divides in- and out-groups, resulting in those that do not fit acceptable standards to find self-creative processes online with increasing frequency. My practice focuses on distorted tension between hiding and revealing, and how this affects internal self-structuring within current sociocultural dynamics.’
