Description
‘the rock-hewn churches of ivanovo ‘98’ A3 Print by Lyberis Dionysopoulos . Lyberis Dionysopoulos is a final year student at Central Saint Martins, studying MA Fine Art Digital.
Artist description of work: ‘There was this man once who lived hidden amongst the Wissahickon Creek of the Schuylkill with his group of followers, called the Society of the Woman in the Wilderness. The man came to believe that the world would end in 1694. He waited and waited. Nothing happened. But he didn’t despair. He spent the remainder of his days still waiting for the apocalypse. Against all evidence, he kept on waiting. See, he didn’t anticipate the end of the world because he believed it to be imminent. His name was Johannes Kelpius and I think about him often.’
All prints are priced at £50 and are limited edition works from students across Central Saint Martins Art Programme, including MA Fine Art, MA Fine Art Digital, MA Art & Science, and MA Contemporary Photography.
100% of proceeds directly support the artists’ end-of-year group projects.
