What attracted you to your craft?
The handmade process behind the product make us feel happy and creates more interactions with customers. We believe and hope we can bring joy to our customers through our jewellery.
What does your typical day look like?
We don’t have a set schedule for each day. We see it as a fun part of our day and we always work when we feel like it and are happy, and pause when we need a break. We believe that this is the way to work with more enjoyment and freedom, and always with enthusiasm.
Does your product have an environmental focus?
Yes, our jewellery is handmade and made to order as a response to promote a sustainable circular economy. We are aware of the overproduction that comes with fast fashion and the build-up of excess stock. By providing these features, we want to deliver a slow fashion attitude to life, offering a more ethical and sustainable approach. As there is no overproduction, the risk of excess stock going into landfill is reduced. In addition, we offer our customers a repair service and recyclable dust bags to make the products live longer and are reusable.
What is the USP (unique selling point) for your products?
Our made to order service means that customers have personalised products that have been made especially for them. At the same time, made to order jewellery has a lower environmental impact than other jewellery brands.
Where do you find for your inspiration for designs?
We draw inspiration from the aesthetic of fiction and mythology. The collection available in not just a shop is inspired by Greece mythology, Hans Zatska’s artwork ‘Symphony of the Water Nymphs’. Describing a group of lovely female divinities living in jungles. They are long-lived creatures like pearls, zircon, and stones born from nature, presenting a style popular throughout time.
Please can you provide a little more info on how your interest in design started and developed?
Both of us study at LCF but in different subject background. However, we were both interested in handmade jewellery design. We found making jewllery by hand makes us feel calm and happy. Therefore, we decided to start up a business together. We want to see it as an enjoyment in everyday life, rather than a job.
How would you summarise your collection in a few words?
“Romantic”, “colorful” and “joyful”.
What are your hopes for the future? Where would you like to take your design career/collection?
In the future, we wish to build a collection of fun products. We would love to collaborate with other designers across different industries and use mixture of materials in the designs. We want to continue to make jewellery that we love and are passionate about.
