Misogi’ 2023 by Mizuki Nishiyama. Mizuki is a final year postgraduate student at Central Saint Martins, studying MA Fine Art.

Artist description of work: “Exploring the concept of purification and femininity in Japanese Vs western culture. Misogi is a Japanese Shinto practice of ritual purification by washing the entire body. Misogi is related to another Shinto purification ritual, harae.”

• CSM XMAS Grotto fundraising print sale ran in December 2023. Proceeds went towards supporting the students final degree show
• Now the fundraising sale has ended, remaining print sales will be given back to the MA Art Programmes at CSM who will use the funds to support future students
