Description
‘Nothing #42’ by Alisa Aistova. This print is edition number 1 of 10.
Alisa Aistova is a final year postgraduate student at CSM, studying MA Contemporary Photography; Practices and Philosophies. “Disease makes it possible to consider the body as a sign, and precisely as a sign, and not as one of its aspects. The body becomes the bearer of the symptom-signifiers, being the site of the localization of the signified-disease. It is the symbolic interpretation of the symptom and disease, body and anomaly that makes it possible to raise the question of the truth of the body.”
The prints that were exhibited in the MERCH sale were all created by final year, postgraduate students, who study the Art Programme at CSM. The proceeds from the remaining print sales go back to not just a shop to support the next generation of new designers.
