Description
‘Worlds in the Microscope’ by Holly Moore. This print is edition number 1 of 2.
Holly Moore is a final year postgraduate student at CSM, studying MA Art & Science.
“It’s late in the laboratory,
where gently humming machinery
cuts through hushed quiet
as sonorous frequency
The scholar sits at his desk
a hunched figure, shoulders set
who mutters, turns dials
till glass slide into focus slides;
a small world in lichen resides,
in fibrous strands of under-lit light
He puts focused eye to lens,
peers through the gloom
Sits back, exclaims;
“Why, I see the moon!””
The prints that were exhibited in the MERCH sale were all created by final year, postgraduate students, who study the Art Programme at CSM. The proceeds from the remaining print sales go back to not just a shop to support the next generation of new designers.
