Back in July, we ran an open call for students and graduates from all UAL Colleges to submit their work to be considered for sale in not just a shop. We are pleased to introduce the successful six designers who collectively form our Autumn Winter 2023 collection.
What can you expect from the collection?
A key feature of our latest collection is colour. From vibrant illustrative greetings cards to earthy pastel ceramics, colour appears at the forefront of the collection and has been carefully considered by each designer. Studio A is our new go-to for stoneware cups and oil bottles, whereas the lovely Paper December is perfect for any occasion requiring a beautifully illustrated greetings card.
We also have the most striking accessories in town, with statement clutch bags from Knots bag. These bags are handwoven by local women in India providing employment, empowerment and independence. They are also made from non-biodegradable waste plastic.
Precious, the artist behind Seronga Art, also celebrates women of colour and the female form in a state of elegance and opulence within her work. Her vibrant prints champions an aesthetic of excess for art lovers, particularly those who appreciate colourful and over the top art
A final important component of the collection is playfulness and humour. The is demonstrated by illustrators Celine Lau and Caio Caldas, whose enamel pins and greetings cards alike add a sense of joy and light-heartedness to the product curation.
