‘One Dollar Sterling’ by Luke Adekoya Campbell. The A3 print is part of Standpoint’s fundraising print sale, sold exclusively at not just a shop.

In September 2022, the British pound hit an all-time low against the US dollar. This was because tax cuts in the “mini-budget” undermined confidence in the UK. This image juxtaposes the perceived strength of sterling with the currency’s actual value. It can also be read as more general comment on post-Brexit politics in the UK.
